Our Cause
"Rena Rowan Damone, an internationally recognized fashion designer
and businesswoman, inspired the Rena Rowan Breast Center. Based
on her personal experience with breast cancer, Ms. Rowan Damone
has guided the development of the Breast Center to ensure that
each woman receives the same outstanding level of care, attention
and sensitive treatment."

Since 2000, the Panhellenic Council of the University of Pennsylvania
has sponsored the Rena Rowan Ribbon Run for breast cancer, as
it is a disease that has touched the lives of all Penn sorority
women in some shape or form. Over the years, the Panhellenic Council
has donated over $55,000 to this worthy cause, and we look forward
to giving even more!

A Letter from the Rena Rowan Breast Center
The Rena Rowan Ribbon Run will benefit the Rena Rowan Breast
Center at the Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania.
The Rowan Center is a model of patient care excellence where all
clinical services a woman facing breast cancer may need are located
in one convenient location; including integrated cancer treatments,
psychosocial counseling, cancer risk evaluation, and nutritional
counseling. As you are aware, the medical needs of patients with
breast cancer may exceed what is covered by traditional health
plans. The funds raised at the Ribbon Run will help to assist
patients receive the services that insurance does not cover and
they cannot afford. The Panhellenic Council over the last seven
years has raised over $55,000 to support our patients and their
families. We are looking forward to the most successful run yet!
